Scheduling content to auto publish at a later date is one of the best tools I find as a blogger. I mainly use Later for Instagram and therefore am going to walk you through what you need to know about the social media scheduling platform.

As a blogger or business owner you know time is precious! It more often than not, that you say to yourself “there’s not enough hours in the day!”. Taking things off your plate and having them be done for you, is such a relief when you don’t have enough hours in the day.

Personally, Instagram is something I love to schedule ahead of time with my posts, captions, and hashtags. I find that to be time consuming and very tedious, whereas interacting and engaging with others I find a quicker task that is more manageable to be done in small chunks throughout the day.

Now what can Later offer you with Instagram? Let’s dive into the review!

What does Later Instagram offer?

So what can Later do for Instagram? Later can offer most of the features you need to be able to do most components of Instagram with ease. There is a free version and paid, I’ll get more into that later on!

Later offers the following:

• Link in bio
• Hashtag Research
• Analytics
• Conversations to manage comments
• Media Library
• Photo Editing Options
• Learning Centre
• Social Sets
• Instagram Stories Scheduling

This is just a quick snippet of their features with Instagram. In the time I’ve been with Later (6 months) they have done numerous updates to modify features and provide updates, so this list is likely to grow and change!

With Later you can choose one of your social sets to be your Instagram and do all the basics for free. There is also a monthly/annual fee if you’d like to do one of the 3 paid versions. My later Instagram review is overall this app has a lot to check out and is well worth exploring it it matches your businesses needs.

If you want just the basics with Instagram, then Later provides you with this for the free account. If you’re wanting to step up your game, or really build your audience/band up then the Starter Paid Account is likely for you (12.50$ a month).

Scheduling and Posting

Later does a great job with making it very easy to schedule and post content to Instagram. You can make your photos/content wherever you’d’ like. I use Canva to create my designs and size them perfectly for Instagram’s platform. Once you have your design it’s easy to log into Later, upload your content, click, and drag it to where you’d like it to be posted.

The interface for setting up the information for your posts is very simple. It provides a big text box with emoji’s to type out your caption, and then add hashtags to the caption or as your first comment (paid). It will notify you if there’s more than 30, as Instagram does not allow more than 30.

You can choose hashtag suggestions (paid) to see hashtags that match your post. Or you can do you own hashtag research and copy and paste them. If you’re making a post that is likely to repeat it allows you to save the caption, you can title it and use it as needed!

First Comment, Location, Tag People are all options available on the paid accounts. Publishing stories to Instagram is also available only on paid plans. It’s a similar process to posts, you select the media you’d like, edit as needed and type in your caption/content.

Honestly, I find Later to be very easy to navigate with scheduling posts, the free version allows you to do up to 14 days of scheduling ahead and 30 posts a month. Paid account does not have these same restrictions. In regards of this Later Instagram Review, I believe this feature alone will help a lot of people who are just starting out and don’t want to spend a lot on scheduling.

Later Instagram Review – Link in Bio

LinkinBio is a great feature on Later. Linkinbio allows you to have a customizable link that clients can click. When they do it populates your posts that attach to clickable links to shop or visit your site. This allows clients to quickly and easily get to the page on your site they need fast!

LinkinBio also helps collect analytics of how much traffic you receive from Instagram. With the free version it’s very basic with options, in the paid version they’re more customizable options.

With this feature on Later, Instagram allows you to add links to posts that have already been published, as well as scheduled posts. So it takes the worry about linking to the exact right content when it publishes out of your hands. It will link it on your linkinbio landing page for you! You can even add more than 1 link if you need to add multiples.

You can link your shopify site to this landing page, which allows you to tag products right in your posts!

LinkinBio recently had a massive update so there’s even more than I can describe in this post. If you’re a blogger or shop owner this is a great feature to check out to see if it’s the right fit for you!

Learning Centre

Not sure where to start? That was me 6 months ago! Don’t worry – Later has a built in learning center to teach you all the basics, and advanced information you need to know. Later provides videos to show you how to schedule on their platform, as well as has in depth article with even more information about its features.

For myself, this really is such a great tool. For individual who are beginning to blog or starting up their small business this is definitely the place to start. Their learning center is free to access without needing a paid account and has tons of information. Later Instagram Review of the learning center is this is phenomenal, and you need to check it out!

Overall, I’m very impressed with Later. I feel like every time I’m there I learn something new, and discover even more features it has. Later also has an app so you can edit and control your posts quickly from your phone when you’re away from your computer/laptop. Overall, Later Instagram Review is extremely positive, and I highly encourage looking into the scheduling app.
