I’ve had cats for my entire life. I grew up with cats and most of my extended and close family members also have cats. As soon as I moved out and went on to get my own space one of the first things, I got was a cat. Currently, I have two 5 years old cats, and my fiancé is always asking to get more!

There are other people whose pets are lovely and nice, but they are not their whole world, for me, I don’t understand these people. I’m the first grouping, I see my two cats as part of my little family and ensure they are well taken care of and loved. I often spoil them as they started out their little lives fending for themselves on the streets. So, giving them a princess kind of life is something I try my best when I can.
So how can this gift guide be helpful when thinking of the best gifts for cat lovers you might ask? Well, a lot of pet owners/ pet parents love their animals very much. Giving a gift either for the cat or for the cat lover about cats can be so special. Even if you yourself aren’t a cat owner, giving simple cat-themed gifts can mean a lot to that individual.

It’s easy to get and you can set the price for whatever you want. A gift card allows the receiver to be able to pick something out that fits them or their pet perfectly. That money could go towards essentials such as cat food, or a litter box which aren’t flashy but can likely help that individual with their own budget by providing a few dollars for cat supplies.
Cat Shaped Mugs – A lot of local stores (not just pet stores) sell cat mugs. These are always so cute and are usually under 10$. You can find a mug with a cute pet saying, or just one that looks like a cat.
Cat Bookmark – I know it’s becoming less common these days to read a paperback book and it’s more common for digital reading. However, there are still a good number of folks that like to pick up a book. Cat photo frame – One of the go-to cat lover gifts is easily a photo frame! They’re usually super cute and allow the owner to pick one of their favorite photos to place in there. Custom Cat Artwork – This is one of my favorite gifts I gave my fiancé one year for Valentine’s day. I purchased from Etsy a drawing of us and our cats. It turned out amazing and honestly looks gorgeous as a nice piece of art in our bedroom. I got it professionally framed and I would recommend that if you’re looking for it to look like a nice décor item in your space. These items can range in price but are so personalized and unique they really mean a lot to a cat owner/ cat parent(s).
Cat Themed Apparel – I have seen quite a few friends gift each other unique apparel items with photos of their pets, and it always turns out amazing! You can simply upload a picture of the pet and then it becomes a pair of socks, a sweater, a blanket, or even boxers.
Personalized Jewelry – You can easily search on Etsy and find copious amounts of personalized pet jewelry ideas. They have everything from a pet name to paw prints, a picture of the pet, or general cat-themed and cat-shaped items. You can also search on Amazon and there are different options for pet jewelry, however, you might not be able to get it personalized like on Etsy.

Presents for cats can be challenging to know what to buy if you yourself aren’t a cat lover. Don’t worry this section will cover stuff for cats and cat gifts.
Cat Litter – Although this is not seen as luxury gifts for cats this is an easy one to pick up and help a pet owner with. Every cat needs to use litter so you know this gift will be used!
Cat Toys – I’ve never met a cat who doesn’t enjoy cat toys! You can pick up small simple toys such as toy mice, or a tunnel, a feather wand of chasing toys. If you’re unsure how playful the cat is that you’re purchasing for then keep it simple and buy something small and plush. Gifts with catnip usually are a big hit with male cats, with female cats it can be hit or miss.
Cat Treats – Any pet store will have a variety of cat treats. Now, if the cat you’re purchasing for has a specific diet then you might want to check in before purchasing this as a gift. If they have a specific diet, then ensure you know the brand of flavors that work best before purchasing. If there are no dietary concerns, then choose whatever you think the cat will enjoy. One bag of treats is plenty as cats do not eat treats very quickly.

Fab suggestions! Like another commenter has said, I love the idea of customised artwork too. I bought myself (still counts as a gift, right?) a mug that says “Cat Mum” & love it.
